Perinote uses a flexible folder based system which allows you to organize your information any way that you like. We have not placed any restrictions on how to organize your information allowing you to create an unlimited number of folders to effectively manage all of your notes, tasks, contacts or events from a single application.
This system is a very powerful organizational tool as any item (notes, contacts, events or tasks) can be set up as a folder. These folders can be nested and information linked allowing sharing across the entire folder system.
Getting Around in Perinote:
The navigation bar makes it easy to open folders that contain your notes, contacts, events and tasks. The favorites and tag feature allow you to identify and organize important information. Clicking on the folder’s icon will open that folder moving down one level into your folder system while clicking the icon in the colored title bar will move you one level up.
Perinote is designed to make multitasking easier. You can have multiple windows open at the same time which makes it easy to move from one activity to another or move information within the application. To move between open windows simply swipe your screen from right to left or left to right. Tap the X in the right hand corner to close any open window.
Tap in the date area to open the edit window where you can update the item’s date. Tapping a contact or event item will open a form for editing. Tapping on a folder, note or task title bar will open the keyboard for direct text editing.
Click on the add icon to add a note, contact, event, task or even paste information from the clipboard into a folder. You can also use drag & drop to easily move items between other open folders.
Click on the add icon to create a task. You can organize your tasks any way that you like, even in multiple folders to mirror the way you work. If you want to see a list of all of your tasks, just click on the task icon in the navigation bar to see all your tasks in one place. Use drag & drop to organize your tasks by priority and check off completed tasks with the convenient task status box.
Drag & Drop:
Perinote’s unique visual drag & drop system makes it easy to organize your folders and move items from one folder to another. This is a great way to seamlessly update your ever-changing priorities.
Cut and Paste:
The cut and copy tools move an item into the Perinote clipboard from where you can then move or copy the information into other folders using the paste tool. If an item is cut and not pasted into another folder then the cut information will be deleted the next time you use the cut or copy tool.
Perinote will automatically add the current date to any task or note that you create by default. You can edit the date by tapping on the date field or change the default format by long touching on the item's icon and then selecting the main menu to open the note date menu box. You can also change the default date format from the main menu by selecting settings.
Adding Items to Tags:
Perinote is a flexible organizational tool which allows you to add items to any tag without limits. Items can be members of multiple tags allowing you to organize your information in any manner you choose.
Use the Tag menu option to create an unlimited number of tags that easily organize your information. You can tag any item as a member of a specific group. Perinote will create a link between that item and its tag without changing the information in any of your folders. This powerful organizational tool allows you to easily organize and quickly find the information you are looking for. Select the tag icon on the floating navigation bar for access to all your categories and their associated members.
The tag title text indicates that an item is a member of a tag. By default this is information added to the item when it becomes a member of a tag for easy identification and can be edited by touching on the item’s text to open the keyboard for editing.
Any item can be converted into a tag by long touching on its icon and then selecting the tag state from the main menu. Mark the checkbox “This item is a tag” with a check and then select done to convert the item into a tag.
Any Item can be marked as a favorite. This powerful feature allows you to easily identify and recall important information by touching the favorite icon on the navigation bar to display your list of favorites.
